- "Do not be fooled. Those things are not what they appear to be."
After The Rising, it turned Vicar into a man with a new purpose, along with Bill Macy and his two henchmen, Dean and Gary, they formed the Human Volunteer Force in Roarton. He also helped form the Parish Council and lead it.
He died later due to a heart attack.
Giving a speech Vicar Oddies views on PDS sufferers remains unchanged from the earlier events of series 1 after 9 months, however the village is visibly seen to have drifted from church meetings as very few remain to listen to the Vicar's speeches.
As Maxine Martin enters the village, she requests Parish records where Vicar Oddie is able to later find the records himself. Inviting Maxine for a drink he talks about knowing why she is in the village, Maxine denying his claims as he again mentions the Second Rising. The Vicar then suddenly has a heart attack leaving Maxine to phone for help but stops, seeing the parish records on Vicar Oddies desk she flees to take the records without calling for help.
Vicar Oddie's grave is being caged as the council believes this is what he would have wanted, a precaution if he ever returned in a Second Rising .
